This is a field which requires specialised knowledge of the difficulties people go through during infertility treatment and the impact that this can have on relationships. I have been conducting surrogacy evaluations and working with couples experiencing fertility difficulties since the mid-nineties. I conduct evaluations with commissioning parents (people wanting to utilise the services of a surrogate), as well as on the suitability of proposed surrogates.

I believe that all couples/people undergoing infertility treatment should consult with an experienced intimacy or sex therapist, as the infertility procedures often have medium and long-term negative effects on maintaining their ongoing sensual connection.
